Acknowledgement of your order
To enable us to process your order, you will need to provide us with your e-mail address. We will notify you by e-mail as soon as possible to confirm receipt of your order and to confirm details. For the avoidance of doubt, this correspondence does not constitute a contract between us.
Our Products & Packaging

The costs shown for our products include VAT at 20% except zero rated products which will be shown as such.

The Confectionery Company only sends out the best quality products to our customers that are well within their best before date. However we cannot accept responsibility for deterioration caused by climatic conditions or transportation once the goods have left our premises.
We have taken care in the preparation of the content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at the time of publishing and that all goods have been described accurately. If we discover an error in pricing of the products you ordered we will inform you as soon as possible using the contact details you supply us with. We will then give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it.

If an order is cancelled, any payment made for the product/s will be fully refunded.

Upon receipt, to ensure your sweets remain in the good condition, it is best to store them in a cool, dry place. Any weights quoted will be approximate and as close or above that stated on the website.

Rather than delay orders, if a sweet is out of stock from any themed gift item, we will substitute it with something else of higher or the same value.

We stock a range of sweets from many different manufacturers. This means we cannot guarantee that our products are all free of nuts or nut traces. Sugar Free and/or Dairy Free products will be shown as such, and you should then assume that all other products are not.

Right for you to cancel your order

We believe you should be happy with your order but there may be occasions where you may have to return a product.  Goods can be returned within 14 days of receipt to The Confectionery Company, Unit G, Newhouse Business Park, Newhouse Rd, Grangemouth, Stirlingshire, FK3 8LL. Please return products with receipt, your contact details and a reason of the return. We are always trying to improve our service and would like to hear your comments. You will be refunded in full subject to abiding by the terms and conditions should you wish to cancel your order.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.   You have certain rights as a consumer including legal rights (e.g. under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended)) relating to faulty and/or misdescribed goods. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Cancellation by us

We reserve the right to cancel the order if:

We have insufficient stock to deliver the products you have ordered.  If this happens, we will contact you to advise when the product will be back in stock.

We do not deliver to your area

If we do cancel your order, we will notify you by email and will re-credit your account as soon as possible usually within 24 hours although it may take longer to show on your bank account.

No compensation for disappointment will be offered.
You can return the goods to us, within fourteen days of receipt (this is compliant with the EU Distance Selling Directive), stating clearly your order number and details of your complaint and we will refund you for the value of the sweets or replace your sweets with no quibbles or questions.
You need to cover the cost of the return postage charge unless otherwise agreed with us.

We will respond to all complaints and returns within five working days.

We only despatch and deliver orders on working days of Mon to Fri, excluding Bank Holidays.

If an order going to a UK address is not received within the delivery timeframe specified in your dispatch email we advise prompt follow up.

We cannot be held responsible for any failed/delayed delivery as a result of incorrect, incomplete or unclear address information. Therefore we would urge you to check this thoroughly at checkout and on the order confirmation email. Once your order leaves us we’re unable to change address information or redirect orders without incurring charges which you will need to cover.

If your order is returned to us because the recipient has failed to respond after Royal Mail or Parcelforce has attempted deliveries and notified them, you must cover the cost of resending the order should you wish to do so. If you choose not to resend your order after it’s been returned we will refund you the value of the sweets only, not the delivery costs.

In the unlikely event that your order goes missing we will offer to send a replacement order.

Unless you instruct us otherwise, orders are automatically authorised to be left with a neighbour if the recipient is out (they will always try to deliver it directly first though). In this event, Royal Mail or Parcelforce will leave a card advising you where they have left your package. If you DO NOT want your order to be left with any neighbours or there is a safe place where you’re happy for it to be left please tell us in the delivery instructions box when you check out so we can inform them.

Delivery charges are at a fixed price of £3.99 to all UK addresses, except for selected UK Zone 2 addresses which will incur a £4.99 charge. Mainland Scottish address do not incur any surcharge. If the products you receive are not what you ordered, defective or the incorrect quantity, please contact us.  We will then correct your order.  For example:

• Make good any shortage or non-delivery
• Supply and deliver substitute goods
• Replace any defective goods
• Refund or do a partial refund at our own discretion

Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any damage caused through postage such as climatic conditions affecting the product. We make sure that all items are in perfect condition before they are sent to you.  If your parcel does arrive in a poor condition, please contact us.

We will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill).  We shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the products in question.

Your use of any information or materials on this website is entirely at your own risk, for which we shall not be liable. It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific requirements.

Events beyond our control: we shall have no liability for any failure to deliver products you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to products delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control. This includes without limitation to, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident.

Damage to your computer

We try to ensure that this website is free from viruses or defects. However, we cannot guarantee that your use of this website or any websites accessible through it will not cause damage to your computer. It is your responsibility to ensure that the right equipment is available to use the website. Except in the case of negligence on our part, we will not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise to computer equipment as a result of using this website

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and you should look through them as often as possible.

Our Security
We take the greatest effort to ensure the highest possible standards of online security.
We accept payments through the secure payment provider   , Paypal  All options are secure and your credit/debit card details are securely encrypted and we do not see details of your card.
